At present we play our 9v9 matches on Saturday mornings and train at the club’s main ground during the lighter evenings on a Monday or Wednesday evening and at Swanmead during the winter months. Our training is a fantastic mixture of fun drills, exercise, mini matches and hard work. We aim to develop players of all abilities and our goal is to ensure players are ‘match ready’ before they participate in actual weekend games.
We are proud to have two under 11 squads (Falcons and Hawks) who are both growing week on week, both individually and as teams, showing great attributes of wanting to be better players and never giving up regardless of the result.
Our aim is to continue to work and learn together, building great friendships, confidence and footballing skills as the squads progress through the age structure of the club.
Getting players to be aware of their positions on the pitch is an important part of their match day experience. If players can cover all areas in defence or attack, they will make playing the game easier for themselves.
Long term player development is our primary focus and the development of each individual is equally important to team development.
In coaching players a variety of positions when they are young allows them to find their path and position/s as they mature as players.
You will be welcomed to our club and we hope you enjoy being part of our football family.
Thanks, Paul C and Matt W
